Nende piltide saamise üle olime eriti õnnelikud. Tikutaja e Taevasikk ei ole just väga haruldane lind, kuid selle eest on ta ülimalt peiduline. Tema nägemiseks peab ikka parasjagu õnne olema.
We were especially happy when we got those photos. Snipe is not a very rare bird but it is extremely hiding bird. You have to have a fair amount of luck to see it.
Muide, sõna snaiper tuleb selle linnu inglise keelsest nimest. Tikutaja tabanud jahimeest peeti väga kogenuks ja selle jaoks loodi ka eraldi nimetus. Nagu näha olime ka meie "laskeulatuses" :)
By the way, the word sniper comes from the name of this bird. The hunter who managed to catch this bird was honoured with that name. As you can see, we were also within a "range" :)
