Batoki mägi ja taamal kunagise supervulkaani Tenggeri kaldeera äär. Kaldeera tekib siis kui mõni vulkaan pärast purset sisse langeb. Pärast Tenggeri vulkaani sisselangemist tekkis tema asemel 5 uut vulkaanikoonust. Batok on ainus, mis pole enam aktiivne ja on seetõttu kaetud männilaadsete puudega.
